Spicy Deviled Eggs made with creamy sriracha Paleo mayo and the packed with savory flavor. Add crumbled bacon and chives for a great healthy real food appetizer, snack or party food!
One of my favorite things to do with Paleo recipes is recreate, within reason, some of my classic favorite foods. Although it’s no secret that I love my eggs, you’ll almost NEVER see me eating my eggs hardboiled. I just don’t love them that way and would take a dippy yolk over chopped hardboiled egg any day.
To this egg rule are two exceptions – deviled egg salad and deviled eggs. Basically, put the devil in my hardboiled egg and I’m all over it. And it makes sense – “deviling” adds creamy texture and actual FLAVOR that in my opinion is seriously missing with plain old hard boiled eggs. Plus you can add basically anything you want and it somehow just always tastes like heaven. I’ve been loving spicier food lately and the sriracha was a perfect ingredient to make these deviled eggs stand out.
I know I’ve probably told my deviled egg story, but, I will tell it again. Don’t worry, it’s not long! Aside from my early days of attempting to make peanut butter with a hammer, deviled eggs were the first thing I “cooked” by myself. (I kid you not, after deviled eggs came bacon, but that’s another story!)
My aunt always had deviled eggs at summer parties and I became obsessed with them at about 9 years old. I asked my mom how to make them and she said you just have to combine hardboiled egg yolks with mayo and mustard and voila! Deviled eggs. Sprinkle some paprika over the top and you’re basically a world class chef.
Since back then I was every bit as impulsive as I am now, I remember setting to work right away. Sure enough, after mashing the yolks with mayo and mustard (no hammer this time) I came up with a mixture that resembled the flavor of my aunt’s deviled eggs. Isn’t that the best feeling? This is seriously why I love cooking in the first place! After that, I made deviled eggs a few more times just to get the “right” proportions of ingredients so they came out exactly how I wanted.
Of course now, things aren’t much different. I played around with measurements and came up with a sriracha mayo (using homemade mayo, or store bought Paleo mayo) for what I consider to be the perfectly flavored spicy deviled eggs. They’re not too spicy, but if you like more you can always drizzle sriracha over the finished product. Simple and perfect for a party, or, just for your family.
You can add crispy crumbled bacon over the top if you’re a bacon fiend like me, or you can just sprinkle fresh chives or green onion and still have plenty of delicious savory deviled yumminess! Are you ready? Let’s get started!

- 1/2 tsp fresh lime juice
- Cooked and crumbled Paleo friendly bacon*

Slice each hardboiled egg lengthwise and remove the yolks. Discard 2 or repurpose, and put the remaining 4 yolks in a mixing bowl and mash well
-
Combine the Paleo mayonnaise with the sriracha and lime juice. Add the mayo to the mixing bowl with the mashed yolks and whisk together until well blended, or use an electric mixer until it's very smooth.
-
Spoon the yolk mixture into the hardboiled egg white halves evenly to fill each one. Sprinkle any add-ons over the top such as cooked crumbled bacon, green onions or chives, and an extra drizzle of sriracha for spice.
-
Serve and enjoy! Store any leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to two days.

YES to spicy food – all the time for me. Runny eggs are my favorites and I make them for as many meals and snacks as I can get away with 🙂 Deviled eggs are one of my absolute favorite appetizers, though, and the only way I enjoy hardboiled eggs. The yolk is the part I don’t like in hardboiled eggs, so all the extra mix-ins help a lot!

Deviled eggs were one of the first recipes I made as a kid as well. That and French toast and homemade chocolate chip cookies.
I love seeing your spicy side come out. 🙂 Bring on all the Sriracha.
