This delicious post is sponsored by Jones Dairy Farm and all opinions are my own as always.
This grain free and paleo savory tart begins with the perfect paleo crust loaded with chopped broccoli and sugar-free ham, plus a creamy egg mixture with a dairy-free option. This amazing savory tart is a family favorite, kid approved and perfect for brunch or as a make ahead breakfast!
I joked on my Instagram stories when I made this tart earlier this week, that it was just about all the wild that I have left in me at this point.
You see, I did something a little bit different here – something (dare I say?!) rebellious! Rebellious is a healthy-foodie-paleo sort of way, of course.
Here’s what I did – I added 1/3 cup of parmesan cheese to the recipe. Once again, I added 1/3 cup of PARMESAN CHEESE. For someone who has probably 1,000 recipes and maybe 2? of them contain dairy, you can perhaps see why I feel like such a rebel.
Are you basically already over it? I’m not, to be honest – but let’s get real – 1/3 cup of parmesan cheese adds a little extra deliciousness to this tart, and, not to worry – there is in fact a dairy-free sub in the form of nutritional yeast, for those who can’t have dairy of any kind.
For the crust – I used my go-to easy paleo pie crust here, and as usual it was pretty darned perfect. You’ll see that you can use grass-fed butter, palm oil shortening, or a mix of the two to make the crust.
To add to those options, ghee can also be used in combination with palm oil shortening with great results! Full disclosure here – I love the all butter version the best!
For the filling, I decided (as always) to go with exactly what I’m craving. I was totally feeling ham, cheese (yes, that cheese again!) and broccoli vibes and took it all to the next level in this tart.
Funny story – my daughter Diana typically can’t stand ham (or turkey) but wound up claiming this tart as her favorite quiche/tart recipe I’ve ever made. She ate it for breakfast 3 days in a row and barely left any for ME!
I will say – I have to thank the amazing ham from Jones Dairy Farm that I used – natural, sugar free (woo-hoo!) and yet packed with flavor the complemented all the other ingredients so well!
Since Jones Dairy Farm has new line of Antibiotic Free, Paleo Certified products contain NO sugar or preservatives, they’re perfect for paleo (and Whole30) recipes.
For all of you Whole30’ers out there, I know you’re right there with me. Finding Whole30 friendly bacon, sausage, and ham just makes meals a whole lot more fun, tasty, and, well, exciting to sit down to!
Jones Dairy Farm makes crispy, delicious uncured, sugar-free bacon that’s perfect for so many Whole30 recipes (like my zucchini bacon fritters), along with sugar-free pork sausage (used in my sausage leek & spinach quiche) and fully-cooked chicken, pork and turkey sausage to throw into quick meals.
In addition to bacon, they also make several sugar-free sausage varieties, ham (this ham is absolutely delicious!) and more – definitely check out their website to browse their amazing products and find out where you can purchase!
Isn’t it gorgeous?! I’m telling you – this one tastes even better than it looks! It’s perfect to serve to guests for brunch, bring over to to party or even just to make on a Sunday for grab and go breakfasts for the week ahead.
The flaky crust (I swear it tastes like a ritz cracker, so yummy!) topped with the creamy egg/cheese mixture, plus savory ham, onions and broccoli is all so perfect together.
It’s hard to believe it’s actually gluten and grain free! I DARE you to trick your family with this one (come on, be a rebel with me!) – they’ll have no idea they’re eating a PALEO tart.
Even my own kids second guessed whether I actually made this tart based on how pretty it is (ugh! kids!) so this one is definitely a show stopper! Time to get going – let’s cook!

I had serious doubts I’d be able to pull this off having never baked anything bigger than a cookie—but I did and it was fantastic! Opted to go dairy free and subbed refined coconut oil for butter/palm oil when working my crust. There was no lack in flavor and my tart held together like a champ. Absolutely photo-worthy. I highly recommend!
